It’s been an interesting football weekend in the English Premier league, as the top three on the league table – Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City – defeated their opponents, to remain at their positions.

City came from behind to win 2-1 against Burnley FC, with both goals from striker Aguero for City.

Liverpool, at Anfield, thrashed Sunderland two goals to nothing, with the first goal struck in by Sturridge 75′ and the second converted from the penalty spot by Milner 90′.

And league leaders Chelsea retain their top position as they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. Goals from Pedro 45′ and Victor Moses 52′ helped the Blues end the unbeaten run of the Spurs, who first scored at 11′ by C. Eriksen.

In other games, Swansea City versus Crystal Palace ended 5-4, Hull City versus Westbrom ended 1-1, and defending champions Leicester City, who are currently placed 13th on the league table, were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Middlesbrough.
