EPL: Man City, Everton grab away wins

Manchester City secured their third win on the bounce to get their bid for the League title back on track on Monday with a 3-0 win over Hull City at the KCom Stadium.

Yaya Toure scored the opener by converting a penalty won by Raheem Sterling in the 72nd minute; Kelechi Iheanacho doubled the score exactly six minutes later; and an own goal in injury time from Curtis Davies wrapped the game up.

In other Premier League games on Monday, Watford drew 1-1 against Crystal Palace, Burnley FC won 1-0 over Middlesbrough, Swansea City lost 1-4 to West Ham, while champions Leicester City got thumped 0-2 by Everton.

Kevin Mirallas and Romelu Lukaku fired Everton to their first away win
since September as Leicester dropped closer to the relegation places.

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri reacted to the loss and blamed it on a lapse in concentration by his team.

“We were in control but suddenly there was a long kick and we reacted a little late and they scored.

“After that we were nervous, and controlled the match much better.

“We wanted to give a good present on Boxing Day, but it was not possible.
Here everything was right in the first six months and now everything is
wrong.”
