EPL: Saints relegated, Man Utd beat Wolves as Chelsea draw vs Nottm Forest

Manchester United sealed a 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Goals by Anithony Martial and Alejandro Garnacho sealed yhe victory for the Red Devils to strengthen their top-four place.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw by relegation strugglers, Nottingham Forest.

Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi bagged a brace for Forest while Raheem Sterling bagged a brace for Chelsea. The game was a thriller.

Awoniyi became the first player to open the scoring in each of the first six Premier League games in which he found the net since Sadio Mane in 2015.

Meanwhile, Southampton made the drop into the second tier of the English competition after losing to Fulham.

The Saints 11-year stay in the Premier League ended in tame fashion as their relegation was confirmed with a 2-0 home defeat.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa kept their push for Europe with a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur while Leeds United played a 2-2 draw with Newcastle United to keep hopes alive of survival.
