Eto’o joins Russian club FC Amkar Perm
Former Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o has joined Russian top flight side FC Amkar Perm after leaving Turkish league side Antalyaspor.
The 35-year-old who left Antalyaspor, where he had been serving as interim player- manager, in September 2016, after accusing the club of racism, makes a return to the Russian league.
He joins for an undisclosed fee, bringing an end to an 18-month spell with the Turkish club.

It will be the second time Eto’o has played in the Russian Premier League after his three-year spell with Anzhi Makhachkala between 2011 and 2014, where he was a star attraction for a side backed by oligarch Suleyman Kerimov.
Amkar Perm becomes the 11th club Eto’o has played for having featured previously for Real Madrid, Legan’es, Espanyol, Real Mallorca, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Everton, Sampdoria and Antalyaspor.
Eto’o’s career has seen him collect three La Liga titles, one Serie A title and three Champions League winners’ medals. While on the international scene, he won two Africa Cup of Nations and an Olympic gold medal with Cameroon, and is rightly considered a legend in his home country.
