An ex-policeman identified only as Tunde and two security guards under the employ of Flour Mills Nigeria Limited identified as Ola and Sulaiman, who were both employed on the recommendation of Tunde have all been arrested by the police for stealing building materials.
The site supervisor smelt a rat when he discovered that some building materials were missing, raising eyebrows as Sulaiman and Ola who manned the firm’s new site located at Araromi Orita village in Atan, Ado Odo-Ota Local Government Area of the state were fingered.
Reports say the alleged theft was reported at the Onipanu Police Division, and it later led to the arrest of Tunde who turned out to be the brain behind the theft and the two security guards.
An employee of Flour Mills who spoke on condition of anonymity said the items stolen runs into millions of naira.

“Flour Mills employed the two guards to secure its new branch in Atan which is under construction. The company relied on Mr. Tunde’s recommendation of the guards because he was an ex-policeman. He  resigned from the Force many years ago.
“For some months now, materials like iron rods worth thousands of naira had been missing. The case was reported to the police after the key of the store where the materials were kept was broken, and the three of them were arrested.” The employee said.
SP Muyiwa Adejobi, The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the arrests said investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
“The ex-policeman and the guards were arrested in connection with theft. Investigation is ongoing to get to the root of the matter.” He said.
