Ex-Gov Kalu loses out in Abia re-run
A former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu has lost his bid to represent Abia North at the Senate as he was defeated in the re run election of Saturday by the candidate of the PDP, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa.
Ohuabunwa won four out of the five local government areas in the Abia North Senatorial district and was declared winner of the poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

Kalu who ran under the Progressives Peoples Alliance, PPA, came second, while Dr. David Onuoha-Bourdex of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, came third, with Nnenna Nma Lancaster-Okoro of the All Progressives Congress a distant fourth.
