A Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday granted the former Head of Civil Service (HoS) of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, N100 million bail with two sureties in like sum.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned her before the court presided over by Justice Taiwo Taiwo over alleged N3 billion graft.

The anti-graft agency arraigned her along her special assistant, Ubong Effiok; Frontline Ace Global Services Limited; Asanaya Projects Ltd; Garba Umar and his companies; Slopes International Ltd and Gooddeal Investments Ltd on 18-count charge.

Other defendants include U & U Global Services Ltd, belonging to Mr Effiok, and Prince Mega Logistics Ltd.

The EFCC is alleging that it traced the N3 billion to Oyo-Ita, adding that the money was kickbacks from contracts, illegal estacodes and duty tour allowance the ex-HoS boss got from the government.

The immediate past HoS was sacked in September after millions of Naira were allegedly discovered in her aide’s bank account.
