Ex-police Corporal out on bail nabbed for another armed robbery

The long arm of the law has caught up with an ex-police Corporal identified as Michael Eriarebhe for alleged armed robbery.

According to Mr Johnson Kokumo, the Commissioner of Police Edo State, the suspect who had been dismissed for criminal offences pending in court was arrested in the Aduwawa area of Benin metropolis.

“He is on court bail and like a leopard that can never change its spots, was arrested for another criminal activity. This is a vindication that the police are right in the first place to have earlier dismissed him,” Kokumo said.

However, the suspect denied the allegations levelled against him; “I did not engage in robbery. I do not know why they are charging me with robbery. I was taken to court for (allegedly having) canal knowledge (of a female).

“They (police) said that the girl was 17 years old, but the girl was above 17 and she had a baby for me.”
