The music industry is just about to experience more verve and excitement after Temple Management Company (TMC) announced an international partnership with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation on the debut album of ex-Project Fame West Africa Winner, Jeff Akoh, entitled Lokoja.
The new partnership now means that Jeff Akoh’s album will be distributed globally by the American entertainment company which is also home to international music heavyweights like Rihanna, Beyonce and Big Sean among others.
The Group Chief Executive of Temple, Idris Olorunnimbe, said this announcement was a watershed in the history of music in Africa. “With the new partnership with Jay Z’s Roc Nation, we are now positioned as a uniquely Pan-African label”, he said. “We will coordinate releases to synchronise in unison from Lagos to Lesotho and from Nairobi to Niamey.”
The partnership with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation also covers global distribution of all Temple Music releases.
Temple Music is also home to veterans DJ Jimmy Jatt, 9ice, Iyanya, Lakan Babatunde, BBNaija’s Bisola, producer Tee-Y Mix and future stars like Jeff Akoh and MaryLove Edwards.
