Zamalek, 14-time Egyptian champions, recently sacked former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Christian Gross paving the way for the appointment of Peseiro.

The Portuguese gaffer is making a return to Egypt having already coached Al Ahly in the 2015/16 season.

Reports also say that Peseiro will earn $65,000 monthly in his first six months at the club. His pay will then be increased to $85,000 monthly from next season.
