Ex-VP Sambo meets Buhari behind closed doors

The deputy to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Namadi Sambo, on Tuesday met with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Sambo arrived the Presidential Villa at about 12:00 noon and headed straight into the president’s office where he met with Buhari for about 27 minutes, before leaving at about 12.25pm.

When accosted by State House correspondents on his mission, the former vice president simply said, “It was a private meeting”, thereafter stepped into his waiting car.

The visit of the former vice president came after incumbent Vice President Yemi Osinbajo had during the seventh Presidential Quarterly Business Forum for private sector stakeholders on Monday, publicly accused the immediate past government under the leadership of Jonathan and Sambo of “grand corruption”.
