The cold war brewing between Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh and his employers, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has taken a new twist as the NFF has put U-23 Eagles coach, Samson Siasia and the victorious U-17 Golden Eaglets coach, Emmanuel Amuneke on standby as replacement.

Oliseh, who led the Super Eagles to a dismal performance at the 2016 African Nations Championship, has been criticising the NFF in the media, accusing them of starving the Eagles of funds.

He chastised the NFF for not providing the players enough welfare and for owing them allowances since last November, adding that he cannot guaranteed the appearance of the players for next month’s Nations Cup qualifier against Egypt.

His outburst attracted a query which did not go down well with Oliseh, who had already warned that he needed to get the final words from members of his family if he is to continue with the job.

Oliseh’s refusal to submit his technical report of Nigeria participation at the CHAN tournament on Tuesday drew the anger of the NFF Technical Committee, who are also bent on sacking the coach.

The coach only support is from the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, but his recent attack on the football body may work against him.
