Ezekwesili dubs Buhari’s aide Shehu a comedian, urges him to join Nollywood

President Muhammadu Buhari’s media aide, Garba Shehu has been tagged a sycophant and comedian and asked to join Nollywood to do the job of script writing for movies.

The tag and advice was given by a former Education Minister, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili who was responsing to a recent article by the media aide to President Buhari entitled ‘A President’s 32” TV’.

In the article, Shehu talked about a picture of President Buhari watching the World Cup qualifying match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria, and the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, on a 32″ television set.

He said, “I think the reason that Bayo wanted to have that picture was a burning desire in him, and in all of us, to show that the President is well again, and has resumed his normal life.”

But reacting in a series of tweets on her Twitter handle, Ezekwesili said to Shehu “Why not move over to Nollywood and write scripts for their movies? Can’t you folks learn that governance is a serious matter?
“Our public officials fail to benchmark what they spend their time on against their contemporaries in say, emerging economies. It’s tragic.

“When information comes out from the stable of the President of a country, citizens should want to take it serious. Stop your comedies please.

“The sort of genuflecting sycophancy that you, Garba Shehu have written on the President Buhari makes it difficult for you to tell him the truth.

“No one who works with a leader and spends their time “singing their praises” is of value to them. Face your work, people. Face your real work!”, she advices.

How will Shehu face his real work when he doesn’t even know. Ezekwesili Should educate him further on what he’s employed to do

Ezekwesili should please leave all of them alone, their silly acts are the only thing we’re enjoying in this administration. Let Buhari’s cabinet be funny and foolish, they are making us laugh

I think Ezekwesili will be a better replacement for Shehu and she will serve better nice she knows Shehu’s job more than him. Buhari should consider employing her.
