Facebook in another data-related predicament
Facebook has found itself in a new interesting user data-related predicament.
This time around, Facebook removed the profile and Facebook page of a well-known musician after he passed away, and denied to explain to his significant other why it acted so.
No family member of the deceased requested the action.

However, a judge in the UK ordered Facebook to explain why the profile had been deleted.
Facebook had reportedly acted on a request per The Times (via BBC), but declined to reveal to the family who issued the request.
The musician died of a heart attack in 2016, and his profile and page were deleted some six months later with no explanation.
Facebook has recently been called out in different cases over issues relating to how it allows certain groups and companies access to data about its users.
Few weeks back, the company was accused of allowing a number of tech companies, including smartphone manufacturers, access to a sea of data about its users.
After refusing to answer questions in the UK, Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg agreed to face questions in front of the EU Parliament.
The grilling came in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica privacy scandal, in which the tech company was accused of allowing access to its users’ data for unethical use, in relation to the presidential election in the US that produced Donald Trump as president of that country.
