2019: OPC leader Adams warns politicians

The Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Aare Gani Adams, has warned that failure to investigate the fire outbreak which engulfed the house of Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho could heat up the polity.

Gani Adams issued the warning in a statement on Tuesday while reacting to the fire outbreak at Igboho’s one-story building, located in Ibadan, the state capital, which occurred around 3am on Tuesday.

He asked the police to immediately arrest the runaway arsonists while condemning those behind the fire incident, adding that; “the fire outbreak is an attempt to frustrate the young man.”

Gani Adams said, “It is unfortunate that some powerful individuals in the South-West are not happy with what is happening in the region.

“The ugly incident speaks volumes of the spate of insecurity across the country. The government is in the best position to investigate the circumstances surrounding the ugly incident so that they will not overheat the polity,” his statement read in part.
