Falconets face Cameroon in women’s football final at African Games

Nigeria’s representatives, the Falconets will battle their Cameroonian counterparts in the final of the women’s football category at the All Africa Games in Morocco.

Falconets reached their first final since 2007 after they defeated Algeria 3-0 in Monday’s semifinal clash.

They were eliminated at the semi-final stage four years ago in Brazzaville, Congo.

Cameroon booked their place in the final following a hard fought 3-1 win against hosts Morocco also on Monday.

The final of the women’s football event of the 12th All Africa Games will hold on Thursday at the Boubker Aamar Stadium.

Meanwhile, Team Nigeria are currently on their number 33 medal, and are hoping to win more on day 12 of the Games.
