Falcons beat Ghana on penalties to set up WAFU Cup final clash vs Ivory Coast

Nigeria’s Super Falcons are now a game away from lifting the WAFU Women’s Cup after they defeated Ghana on penalties in a thrilling semifinal clash on Thursday.

The Thomas Dennerby girls faced stiff opposition from their opponents and were held goalless for 120 minutes.

The game went into penalty shootout, with Nigeria converting all four of their spot kicks while Ghana managed only two.

With the win, the Falcons set up a final showdown against hosts Ivory Coast.

The final is billed to hold on Saturday in Abidjan.
