Falcons defeat S/Africa, to play Cameroon in final

The Super Falcons of Nigeria on Tuesday defeated their South African counterparts in a semi-final clash at the ongoing African Women Cup of Nations in Cameroon. They will be playing the final against hosts Cameroon.

After a goalless first half, Desire Oparanozie, who won the Golden Boot in the 2014 AWC, scored the only goal of the game in the 54th minute with a bullet of a shot that took a slight deflection against the South African wall, to put the Falcons ahead.

In the other semi-final game against hosts Cameroon and Ghana, the organizers claimed their slot in the final after defeating the Black Queens one goal to nothing earlier on Tuesday.

Hence, the final game of the African Women tournament will take place on Decenber 3 between the hosts Cameroon and the defending champions Nigeria.
