Fancy a coffee cup to monitor your intake?

Published

on

Enjoying your cup of coffee? What if you could have a conversation with that cup about the nutritional benefits of what you are drinking? Well for $119 you can! The Vessyl smart cup knows and tracks everything you drink.

The cup has a display on its side that activates when tilted; it has an anti-spill lid and a non-stick interior for easy cleaning.  It also has a wireless charger. It’s designed primarily for people that are always on the move. The innovators at Mark One a San-Francisco based firm created this gadget/cup; it syncs with apps on an Android or i-phone.

On one hand, it seems like disruptive non-disruptive tech that blends seamlessly into normal life, helping you monitor what you consume and the quantity to help lead a life style. On the other hand it could be another way for marketers to keep track of your habits and lifestyle, we are all too aware of how easy it is to hack into a data-base. Whatever the verdict, it looks like a cool gizmo to have, and to show off.
