Farotimi was abducted by police same way terrorists abduct citizens —Aisha Yesufu

Human rights activist and co-convener of the #BringBackOurGirls movement, Aisha Yesufu, has equated the arrest of Dele Farotimi by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force to abduction of citizens by terrorists.
Yesufu who stated this during a X space conversation hosted on Thursday by the convener of #RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, lambasted the police over the manner its officers arrested Farotimi from his Lagos home and renditioned him to Ekiti, an act she can only likened to how terrorists abduct citizens in the country.
“The way they abducted Farotimi is similar to how terrorists abduct Nigerians. They abducted him from Lagos and then drove him all the way to Ekiti by road,” Yesufu stated.
She also noted that the Nigerian authorities are oppressive to Nigerians and if the case of Dele Farotimi is allowed to thrive, more Nigerians would suffer oppressive tendencies of the government.
