EU Parliament Ask Buhari To End Bloodshed In Nigeria

Two of President Muhammadu Buhari’s loudest critics, Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, and former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode have sent him congratulatory messages on his 75th birthday.

They however asked him to resign his position as president and not contest again in 2019.
Fayose in a statement he released through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, said Nigeria needs an experience and agile president, adding, that he is not a fan of old men taking leadership positions, including Buhari.

“This is to congratulate Mr. President as he clocks 75. I want to thank God for his life and I wish him, a good health in the service of our nation as he continues to age with grace. He represents us all and we owe him prayers and cooperation where necessary, just as we also need to criticise him too where necessary.

“I am not a fan of an old man and this is not personal and peculiar to President Buhari. We need an agile president in 2019.

“We need somebody that is experienced and agile. He shouldn’t contest. But that is not going to stop me and my party from taking over from him and his party in 2019,” part of the statement reads.

On his part, Fani-Kayode said the best gift Buhari would give Nigerians in his birthday is to resign as president.

He said in his Twitter handle, “I congratulate @MBuhari on his 75th birthday even though I disagree with him on virtually everything and I deplore his agenda and ways. I believe that he has been a disaster as Pres. and that the best birthday gift he can give the Nigerian people is his resignation letter”.
