Fayose to Mu’azu: Tempt me, I’ll expose your betrayal

Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, says he has ample evidence that the national chairman of his party, PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu and the National Working Committee (NWC) sold the party to the opposition APC in the just concluded general elections.

He said “I am even more particular about the National Chairman because he sold the party to the opposition. I have cogent evidences of his unholy alliance with the opposition before the elections and if they go any further, I will expose all his underhand deals.”

Fayose, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said that if it remained only him in the party, he would continue to defend its cause, insisting, that his call for the dissolution of the Mu’azu-led NWC was in good faith, and in the overall interest of the party.

About the CWC’s lacklustre performance, the governor said; “How do we explain the PDP losing so scandalously in Bauchi State, despite the presence of the National Chairman, Federal Capital Territory Minister and the state governor?

“I have no apology on my position on the NWC because their responsibility as party leaders does not take away their failure in the last general elections,” Fayose said.

While describing the attack on his person by the NWC as unfortunate, the governor said it was sad that the NWC members, especially the National Chairman were refusing to allow new people to manage the party after managing it into its first national electoral failure.

“Lastly, let me say it categorically that they can only attempt to destroy this party for the moment, not for ever. Sooner or later, they will all fade away and PDP will rise again,” the governor said.

I hear this is a family quarrel though. But this proponent of stomach infrastructure sabi find trouble sha. Don’t know where his confidence comes from. How can a man open up war fronts without considering where the arms will come from? Or, is he tactically creating distractions to take attention away from the challenges of Ekiti.
