Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has been punished for infringing on the fundamental rights of Abiodun Agbele, aide to Governor Ayodele Fayose.

This is as a Federal High Court in Abuja presided over by Olukayode Fadeniyi, affirmed that the refusal of the EFCC to charge Agbele to court, since his arrest, was an abuse of his fundamental human rights, ordering the commission to pay him N5million in damages.

Agbele was arrested by EFCC, on July 1 on alleged fraud activity of receiving huge public funds from a former defence minister, Musiliu Obanikoro, which he delivered to Fayose.
