Buhari calls for ‘special’ Friday FEC meeting to discuss 2019 budget

President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement that anyone who tries to snatch ballot box during the forthcoming elections will do so “at his own expense” is ‘absolutely’ supported by the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Information Minister, Lai Mohammed made the position of FEC known on the controversial statement known to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday at the end of its meeting presided over by President Buhari in Abuja.

Mohammed had said when asked to state FEC position on the statement by Buhari, “Absolutely. I mean, if you want to intimidate voters to steal the mandate of the people, you should be able to face the wrath of the law.”
