FG approves 4 more private universities

FG confirms Nigeria has 10.1m out-of-school children

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu has confirmed the establishment of four private universities in the country.

After the first meeting of the Federal Executive Council, the minister informed State house correspondents that the new universities are Greenfield University, Kaduna; Dominion University, Ibadan Oyo State; Trinity University, Ogun State and Westland University in Iwo, Osun State.

According to the Minister, all the four universities met the criteria for establishing universities following visitations by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

With these approvals, the number of private universities in the country has been brought to 79.
