The Federal Government has warned fraudsters using the name of President Muhammadu Buhari and those of his family members to commit crime to desist from such.

Minister of Information and culture, Lai Mohammed stated this on Wednesday. He said that some fraud stars are in the business of using the president’s name, that of his family members and senior government officials to solicit favour or contracts from Ministries and other government establishments.

He warned in a statement he issued in Abuja, that those involved, if they do not desist from such act will face the wrath of the law.

He also warned government officials who may be working in collusion with these con men to desist from the act or face dire disciplinary action and prosecution for fraud.
