FIFA RANKINGS: Super Falcons climb to 34th, remain 1st in Africa

Super Falcons of Nigeria moved up one spot to 34th position in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola women’s World Ranking released on FIFA’s official website on Friday.

The reigning Africa Women champions who won the AWCON title last year in Cameroon, remain number one in Africa, followed by the Black Queens of Ghana, who maintained their 45th position.

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon are third in Africa and 47th in the world.

Equatorial Guinea are 51st in the world and fourth in Africa, while Banyana Banyana of South Africa are fifth on the continent and 51st in the world ranking.

In the overall world ranking, Germany are number one, USA are second and France third.

England have moved back up to fourth, overtaking Canada to equal their best ever position. Japan are in sixth, Sweden in seventh spot, Australia occupy the eight spot while Brazil and North Korea are ninth and 10th respectively.
