Finally, Ambode presents N852bn budget to Assembly

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state has finally laid down the 2019 appropriation bill before the State House of Assembly.

Amboda, on Tuesday laid controversies around the budget to rest when he made a budget proposal of N852.316 billion before the lawmakers for the 2019 fiscal year.

The budget contains a recurrent expenditure of 385.6billion, Capital expenditure of 462.7billion and a capital recurrent ratio of 54-46.

The budget is lower than that of last year, which was N1.046trn.

“The overall 2018 budget stood at 60 per cent and that was put into consideration in preparing the 2019 budget.

“The 2019 budget is all-encompassing and it will cater for all Lagosians,” Ambode said.
