Court halts APC's plan to hold indirect primary in Kogi

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has finally called for the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party, 15 months after the last one was held.

The decision came days after the Director-General of Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), Dr. Salihu Lukman, gave the party National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, an ultimatum to either resign or convene a NEC meeting.

Lukman, who later said he did not make the call on behalf of APC governors’ forum, had argued that the party NEC must be convened to look into lingering crises in the party and proffer solutions to them.

It was learnt that the NEC meeting which was initially slated for this Friday has been rescheduled because President Muhammadu Buhari was yet to give his consent on the matter.

However, a meeting of APC caucus will hold at the Presidential Villa on Thursday ahead of the NEC meeting on Friday or on another date.
