The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that results of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be release on Saturday.

Registrar of the board, Ishaq Oloyede, while briefing journalists in Abuja on Friday, said the details of the results will be announced by 10 a.m. on Saturday.

“We are holding a meeting now so we can have all the details available by tomorrow. We are releasing our results tomorrow,” he said.

The 2019 UTME was between on April 11 and April 17 with about 1.8 million registered candidates.

JAMB had claimed that the screening of the candidates to fish out impersonators, multiple registrations and other forms of malpractices delayed the release of the results.

JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, had explained, “We are cross-checking everything, including fingers. If you know that you have about 1.8 candidates multiplied by ten that is the finger we are talking about.

“If you are very close to National Identity Card Management Commission (NIMC¬), ask them what it takes to analyse finger prints in terms of period.

“We are combining 1.8 million ten fingers with one another to be sure that we identify people who combine fingers and so on,” he said.
