Fire guts government agency building in Abuja

The Office of the National Productivity Centre (NPC) which is located at Cape Town Street, Zone 4, Wuse, Abuja, was on Wednesday gutted by fire.

The Director-General of the Centre, Kashim Akot, who confirmed the incident said:

“the fire was caused by the electric surge in one of the sockets in the upper building of the office.”

Although no life was lost, the fire, however, ravaged some parts of the first floor of the building while many important data that are relevant for national purpose were lost during the unfortunate incident.

The NPC is an agency under the Federal Ministry of Labour overseen by Senator Chris Ngige as Minister’

The agency aims at improving the quality of lives of Nigerians by making available increased quantity and improved quality of goods and services to the people.
