Fire kills one, displaces 200 in Philippine
Fire on Wednesday killed a 69-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease in a residential area of the Philippine capital.
The Bureau of Fire Protection said on Thursday the fire which broke out at 5:30 p.m. local time in a district in Manila City quickly swept across at least 20 houses and displaced 50 families of 200 residents.
The bureau added that it took the firefighters nearly an hour to bring the fire under control.
Arson investigators are still trying to get the cause and origin of the fire.
