Fire razes IDPs camp in Borno, kills 14, injures many

No less than 14 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) were on Thursday reportedly killed following a fire outbreak at a camp in Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State.

The fire outbreak also saw about 15 persons sustaining various degree of injuries.

The fire incident, it was learnt, started around 2:14pm at Ngala IS IDPs camp.

It was further learnt that many houses were burnt. According to an unconfirmed report, the fire destroyed about 1,250 households.
