Flight attendant falls out of plane, breaks leg

A 53-year-old air hostess identified as Harsha Lobo reportedly fell off an Air India plane which was about to take off from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in the city of Mumbai.

Reports say the victim who sustained injuries on her legs was trying to close the back door of the aircraft when she fell off.

Unconfirmed reports say the ‎air hostess broke her legs when she landed awkwardly on the tarmac of the airport.

According to Pravin Bhatnagar, a senior manager at Air India, the flight attendant fell off while closing the back door of the Boeing 777.

The airline in a statement described the incident as “unfortunate”, promising an inquiry and also revealed that the victim was responding to treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
