Floods overtake newly renovated Abuja airport (Video)

The Abuja airport which was closed down on March 8th this year for renovation and later opened six weeks later after renovation works on the Runway was completed in order to meet International Civil Aviation standards, has been overtaken by floods.

A video of the airport which reportedly cost a whopping N5.8 billion to renovate was uploaded on social media showing a flooded area close to the tarmac with planes parked.

The airport became water logged after a heavy rainfall with passengers in the video seen taking off their shoes to board the airport shuttle to the lobby.
