Flying Eagles set to storm Germany for final phase of camping for U-20 World Cup

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria tutored by coach Paul Aigbogun are expected to fly out to Germany today, Saturday, to commence the final phase of camping for the U-20 World Cup set for next month in Poland.

Reports say the team will travel to Germany aboard Luthfansa Airline on Saturday night and leading the contingent will be coach Aigbogun who is expected to release the names of players that will be part of the training camp in Europe.

Expected to top the invited list of player of the U-20 team which finished fourth at the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Niger early this year include captain of the side, Ikouwen Udoh, as well as Valentine Ozornwafor, Igor Ogbu, Adamu Alhassan, Yahaya Nazifi and a host of other regulars.

Reports say nine more foreign based professionals will join the team at their training base in Germany and topping the list of foreign based professionals invited by the coach of the team include Villarreal rave of the moment Samuel Chukwueze and Bologna midfielder Kingsley Michael who ‎is on loan to Seria B side Perugia.

The duo are expected to be joined by at least five players of Nigerian descent born abroad who have decided to pledge allegiance to Nigeria ahead of the country of their birth for the U-20 World Cup.

The Nigerian team is expected to square up against Qatar, USA and Ukraine in the group stages of the U-20 World Youth Championship.
