Following Abdullahi’s defection, APC appoints his deputy as acting publicity secretary

The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Yekini Nabena, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, as acting spokesman of the party.

This followed the resignation and defection of Bolaji Abdullahi to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) earlier on Wednesday.

Nabena’s appointment was contained in a letter issued in Abuja and signed by Mala Buni, National Secretary of the party.

“I write to convey the resolution of the national working committee reached at its 34th regular meeting of August 1, 2018, mandating you to resume duty as the acting national publicity secretary with immediate effect,” the letter read.

“This development is sequel to the resignation of Malam Bolaji Abudullahi as the National Publicity Secretary.”

Buni wished Nabena success in his service to the party and assured him of the highest regards of the leadership.
