Forget Algeria crisis, Rohr warns Eagles

Super Eagles’ coach, Gernot Rohr, has warned his players to forget sacking of the Desert Foxes’ Manager, Milovan Rajevac, saying it might ginger the Algerians to aim for victory when they play Nigeria in Uyo on November 12.

“This sack may be the motivation Algeria needs to play against us; it will be difficult for a new coach to put together a team in three weeks for our match, but possibly the assistant coaches could manage it,” Rohr said

As a result of Rajevac’s dismissal, his assistants, Nabil Neghiz and Yazid Mansouri, has been appointed as interim coaches of the team by the Algeria Football Federation and the two assistants will be leading them to battle Nigeria next month in Uyo.

Algeria sits third on the log of group B, and will be looking forward to beating the Super Eagles for their first win, after unfortunately sharing a point with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in first game of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifying series.
