Former anti-corruption official jailed for life in China
Authorities in China have jailed Jin Daoming a senior Chinese official who worked in anti-corruption departments for almost 20 years, for life, over allegations of corruption leveled against him.
According to reports, Jin was put under investigation while serving as a deputy head of the provincial legislature in northern Shanxi, by the ruling Communist Party in 2014 and findings by the ruling party has landed him in jail.

Jin was found guilty of taking more than 120 million yuan (14.72 million pounds) in cases involving coal mine projects, promotions and anti-corruption investigations, Xinhua said, citing a court in the eastern city of Zhenjiang.
And for cooperating with authorities following his admission of guilt, Jin received a lighter sentence, meaning he avoided the death penalty.
