Four suicide bombers die in failed attack

Reports reaching Ripples has it that four suicide bombers were on Sunday, killed, when the vehicle they were traveling in exploded few kilometres to Maiduguri, Borno State capital.
The suicide bombers were believed to be heading for an operation before their bombs exploded prematurely, an official of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mallam Abdulkadir Ibrahim said.
Ibrahim, who is the information officer of the agency in Maiduguri, said in a text message that the aborted suicide bomb attack took place at Njimtilo on Sunday.

“The four suicide bombers came in a car (golf) around some minutes past 1.20pm. The car presumably exploded before they reached their target.
“All the four suicide bombers on board died. No innocent soul was lost. No casualty recorded. Their remains have been deposited in the mortuary at Borno State Specialist Hospital”, Ibrahim said.
