Four travelers from Sokoto intercepted by police in Oyo test positive for COVID-19

Four of the travellers from Sokoto State, who were intercepted by the Oyo State Police have tested positive to COVID-19.

No less than 11 travellers from Sokoto State en route Akure, Ondo State, were intercepted by police in Oyo State at the weekend.

The state incident manager, Dr Taiwo Ladipo, giving an update on the matter on Tuesday, revealed that four out of the 11 travellers tested positive to the virus.

He said the four patients were now isolated at the Infectious Diseases Centre, Olodo.

The state currently has 39 COVID-19 cases, nine of them have been discharged while two persons have died.
