Francis Uzoho joins Cypriot club, Anorthosis Famagusta on loan

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho has joined Cypriot club, Anorthosis Famagusta, to stay till the end of the season.

The club made the announcement on Thursday night via their Twitter handle.

The 20-year old, who manned the post for Nigeria at last year’s World Cup, signed the six-month loan deal from Spanish LaLiga side, Deportivo La Coruna.

For the first half of the season, Uzoho was on loan at the Spanish Segunda B side, Elche.

He made seven league appearances for the side, and suffered a period of absence due to injury.

Uzoho had only renewed his contract for three seasons with Deportivo La Coruna last August after impressing with the B team.

The recently-married goalie has been capped 13 times by Nigeria.
