Fraud: Skales and his manager arrested, released
By Ahmed Boulor
Hip hop artiste Skales and his manager Osagie Osarenkhoe both cooled their heels earlier today in police custody over allegations of fraud leveled against the artiste and his manager by Baseline Records before the pair were later released.
Reports say Osagie was accused of diverting funds belonging to Skales’ record label, Baseline Records for her personal use without informing other label executives.
According to an inside source for Baseline Records @wale_ewedemi “Both Skales and Osagie have been remanded in Police Custody after confessing to various charges of fraud and diversion of Baseline Records funds They are currently assisting the Police in unravelling the extent of the fraud running into tens of millions of naira.

“At the inception of the contract, he was given a fully furnished luxury apartment in Lekki in a gated estate, with a brand new customized SUV and a multimillion Naira sign on Fee.
“The record label also gave him a free hand to select and run his brand, supported by a multimillion naira corporate expense account. Skales behaviour has reduced the appetite of the Record label to assist other young talents to achieve their full potential.” @wale_ewedemi posted on Instagram.
Osagie even confirmed that she had been arrested by the police via her Twitter handle but noted that she had not been detained before she was later released alongside Skales.
