Fraudsters using Onu’s name on Facebook scam, Ministry says
The Federal Ministry of Science and Technology has disowned Facebook account opened in the name of Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, the Minister of Science and Technology.
Mrs Belema Wakama, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, on Monday said the account, which was being managed by one Okon Achibong Onu, was being used to defraud innocent Nigerians.
According to the statement, the fraudster was “directing them (Facebook Users) to pay the sum N125, 000 in FCMB Account number 3432572018 and Access Bank Account number 0019549329.
