Frustrated, Police sergeant kills himself

A police sergeant, Paul Joseph, is reported to have shot himself dead over frustration of life.

Joseph was attached to Access Bank branch at Ahiara Junction in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State.

He was said to have shot himself at about 7.00 am on Wednesday, when the bank staff were resuming work and when his colleague went out to buy food.

The incident, it was learnt, threw the bank staff into confusion and drew the attention of a large crowd at the bank.

It was gathered from some of his colleagues in the area that Joseph, who hails from Taraba State, had always complained of frustrations over life in recent times.

He was said to have even told some of his family members and friends that he might end his life and go to heaven.

The state police command was yet to confirm the incident as at the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, Joseph’s corpse, it was learnt, had since been deposited in a morgue in the area.
