A staff of the Delta State University, Abraka, Mr. John Ogeleke, has been kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen, who are demanding to be paid N5 million before he is released.

The incident took place on Thursday in Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State.

Confirming the development, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Celestina Kalu, said Ogeleke was heading towards Ogume from Kwale in his Nissan Pathfinder jeep when he was abducted at gun point.

According to her, four men of Fulani extraction armed with guns and sticks emerged from a nearby bush and forced Ogeleke’s car to stop after which he was seized and taken into the bush.
