G20 SUMMIT: World leaders express disappointment at Trump's climate stance

There is a general resentment at the G20 summit currently taking place in Hamburg, Germany as leaders have reportedly line-up against President Donald Trump over his stance against climate change.

In her closing remarks at the G20 summit, German Chancellor Angela Merkel termed Trump’s position on climate change as “regrettable” but on the brighter side, world leaders appeared to have struck a successful deal on trade policies.

Continuing, Merkel said the two-day summit which was marred by violent protests achieved “good results in some areas” and cited a hard-won agreement on trade but added that talks had been, at times, “difficult”.

“One central focus was climate and energy and here it became clear what I had said ahead of the summit,” Merkel said.

“Where there is no consensus, the disaccord must be mentioned. That’s why there is the American position on the one hand. As you know, the United States has unfortunately left the climate accord, or rather they expressed the intention to do so.”

The final statement in the G20 summit made clear that the other countries and the European Union unanimously supported the Paris climate agreement rejected by Trump.

Trump may not last as the US president. They may kill him soon. Americans in majority don’t like him

To some extent, I can say you are correct, he has caused a lot of disaster since he assumed office less than a year ago.

He sure has a different Ideology than other politicians, this makes him unique. Despite him causing ‘a lot of disaster’, he has also recorded tremendous success since he became America’s president.
