NEW KANO EMIRATES: Kingmakers square for legal battle with Ganduje, employ 7 SANs, 17 lawyers

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Thursday queried Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano, over alleged financial embezzlement.

This is coming after the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-corruption Commission had recommended the suspension of the emir three days ago.

According to the commission, N3.4 billion was misappropriated by the emirate under Sanusi between 2014 and 2017.

Recall that the emir had two days ago exchanged pleasantries with the governor at the praying ground in Kano during salah celebration.

The development was believed to signal the beginning of an end to the rage between the duo since the elections, until he was served the query.
