Ganduje victimising Sanusi for being outspoken - Timi Frank

A former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Timi Frank has accused Kano State Governor, Abdulahi Ganduje of victimising the Emir of Kano, Lamodo Sanusi for speaking against the oppressive policies of the APC.

Frank was reacting to the creation of four new emirates out of the old Kano Emirates by the state government.
According to him, the creation of four additional emirates was a political vendetta aimed at making the Kano emirate under Sanusi irrelevant.

In a statement on Friday, the former APC chieftain accused Governor Ganduje of destroying traditional institution which has been in existence since 1805, adding that it was gradually becoming the policy of the APC to be clamping down on traditional rulers.

He recalled how the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, made attempt to destroy traditional institution in the state and in Kaduna State where the governor, Nasir El-Rufai, sacked about 4,000 traditional rulers.

Calling in traditional rulers across the country to speak out against the development, Frank said Emir Sanusi is today facing the heat, but it could be the turn of anybody or even the Sultan of Sokoto tomorrow.

Frank further contended that the Emir of Kano did not commit any crime apart from being outspoken against the policies of the APC administration both at the federal and the state levels found to be anti-people.

He said, “For political reason, Governor Ganduje has dismembered the respected emirate to prove a point, but the governor should know that the evil men do, live after them.”
