GEJ comes through as military recaptures Gwoza

The Nigerian Military on Friday, announced that it has recaptured Gwoza, where the Boko Haram sect declared a caliphate last year.

The Military announced on its twitter page on Friday morning that “Several terrorists died while many are captured” adding that “mopping up of the entire area and her suburbs are ongoing”.

The twit stated, “Troops this morning captured Gwoza destroying the Headquarters of the Terrorists self-styled Caliphate”.

It would be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan had a few days ago given the assurance that the town would be recaptured by Friday.
